If you’re like me, you’re into gore in the worst way; the scarier the films, the better. So how’s this slice: A band of young criminals flee Paris to take refuge in an old hostel in the Netherlands. As luck would have it, this particular hostel has been home to another group of refugees - a cannibalistic Nazi family that has been hiding out since the end of World War II. Frontier(s), the French horror film by Xavier Gens deemed too nasty for mainstream theaters will actually get it’s run!
Hitting selected theaters May 9th, uncut and unrated, this controversial flick is so good, it’s too scary for Horrorfest 2007. And how often do you get to see an unrated film on the big screen? Too gory to watch, too scary to miss! Marvel at The Murder! Thrill to The Manslaughter! And while your at it, watch The Trailer!
Eerie and suspicious imagery abounds, and watch looks to be industrial strength bolt cutters.
But what’s going to happen? Will there be a Fourth Reich? Are the French salty, or savory? If that’s dinner, what could possibly be for dessert? Whichever way you slice it, there’s something for everybody in Frontier(s), a roaring rampage of racism and refugees. The DVD is out May 13th, so mark your calendars.
