WebHostingReport.com Review

Today I visited WebHostingReport.com, a site that offers live web hosting reports. About two years ago, the web host my sister and I used for most of our websites — or maybe all of them, I can’t remember — crashed and we lost dozens of web sites and a lot of irreplaceable content. Can’t help thinking that, if we had gone to a web hosting review site and comparison shopped, maybe read some customer reviews, we might have had better luck.

WebHostingReport.com seems like a good service. You can use it to compare plans on levels like features and pricing, read reviews of the top web hosting companies and scroll through informative articles about web hosting. That being said, I thought the site could use more work. It was impersonal, I had a hard time finding my way around the aimless hunks of text and links.

Aesthetically, the site is a big ole headache, you don’t know where you are, even when your staring at the page title. It also could have used an “About Us” page, maybe clearer navigation, a less confusing layout — really, I think the entire site needs an overhaul. I also found the articles extremely patronizing and full of filler, but that’s just me. Really, the service looks solid, but the layout was bad news. Like, make me change the channel!
