It’s been so cold and humid this winter, but, now that summer’s rolling around, my sister and I are looking for some of those fall or winter sales they’ve got going, so we can actually afford to not freeze our butts off. What’s convenient is that, from now until April 18th, Sears is having seventy-to eighty percent off their original prices on fall and winter apparel. They’re got these argyle gloves for less than two bucks, really cute. Sales are nice aren’t they? Especially with the way life’s been going. Work’s slow, our financial security is going up in smoke — hopefully not for too long, though. But everybody’s feeling it, to the point where talking about the economy these days is getting less timely and more annoying, particularly for families. The good news is that Sears has a nice little contest for mom’s feeling “busted” by the economy called Busted Moms. You just join their fan page and share your stories about how you or someone you love has been affected by the economy and why you deserve their Mommy Makeover from Sears. You don’t actually have to be a mom to enter, so it couldn’t hurt, and you could win twenty-five hundred dollars. You can enter with Twitter if you like, @bustedmoms. If I had that money, we could pay off our credit cards, get a dishwasher, buy shoes — money goes even further when you’re used to being skint broke, doesn’t it folks?
